Braun Geotechnical Ltd. is a mid-sized engineering firm with a team of 20 employees, including 11 engineers. We are seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer and a Junior Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Surrey office.
The successful candidates will be responsible for various aspects of geotechnical engineering projects, including proposal preparation, site investigations, site characterization, engineering analysis and design, report preparation, and construction field reviews.
Our projects typically include infrastructure, buildings, excavations and shoring, land development, and transportation. Our engineers are supported and encouraged to pursue the types of projects that interest them most.
Our office is located in North Surrey near Highway 1, ideally positioning us to serve the entire Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. This location also provides employees with the opportunity to work near communities where home ownership remains attainable for young professionals.
Braun Geotechnical’s resources include an in-house geotechnical laboratory, a full suite of current industry-standard geotechnical software, and support from experienced administrative, technical, and drafting staff.
Qualifications
Successful candidates must have an undergraduate or graduate degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. Applicants should have at least two years of relevant experience in the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley.
Additional qualifications include:
- Experience preparing cost estimates and proposals for geotechnical investigation programs.
- Experience conducting geotechnical investigations and coordinating laboratory testing.
- Strong data-analysis and interpretation skills.
- Geotechnical analysis and design experience.
- Strong technical report-writing and communication skills.
- A valid B.C. driver’s licence.
- Eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC as an Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
