Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This position is in-person at our Avonport office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy before payment approval
- Maintain vendor files and ensure all documentation is complete
- Perform account reconciliation to resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with other departments to address inquiries related to payments
- Utilize accounting software (Sage) for data entry and reporting
- Willing to learn and take on other duties related to the office operations
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and human resources functions
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
