Reporting to the IT Supervisor, the IT Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to, the following.
Providing support to the production operations, maintenance of all data processing equipment and systems and fully supporting the operations of all departments within QSS. They are to participate in ensuring the IT infrastructure meets the existing and future requirements of Magna, QSS and its Customers. Interacts and provides support to all QSS departments concerning data processing issues, desktop applications and solutions to employee concerns. The IT Analyst is to ensure the design, implementation, and support of the software applications, LAN, WAN, servers, PCs, and manufacturing systems – MES, Dacquest, Clark and Trans4M, while looking for continuous improvement, wherever possible, in a cost efficient manner exceeding the expectations of the Customer and Magna International Inc.
Adheres to Technical System Procedures, Quality instructions, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, confidentiality requirements, and to all QSS policies and procedures.
Administers and supports Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Databases, Cisco TCP/IP network, and VMware ESXi virtualization infrastructure
Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktops, laptops, printers, barcode scanners, and other shop floor devices
Provides helpdesk services for all systems within the IT scope of responsibility.
Conveys information to management regarding all consequential operational problems.
Executes data and system backups according to established procedures.
Identify and recommend opportunities for continual improvement.
Perform special projects in support of the organizations business objectives.
Other projects and duties as assigned
University degree or college diploma in a related field, two to three years of experience in technical related work experience in an automotive (JIT) Tier 1 manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of both.
Preference will be given to candidates with education and/or experience with certifications such as MCSE/MCSA, CCNA, VCP.
Must be able to work in a fully computerized work environment and be committed to continuous improvement principles.
Must have good leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to think independently and strong project management skills would be an asset.
