The Lead, Recruitment Communications & Marketing (RCM) is responsible for the development and implementation of Northern Health’s (NH) recruitment communications & marketing strategies. This position collaborates closely with members of the Communications team, Recruitment, Medical Affairs Recruitment and is involved in all digital, public and employee sourcing/engagement work pertaining to recruitment including:
- Development and delivery on a formal recruitment marketing brand and plan for all staff and physician positions.
- Full cycle content development including researching, interviewing, writing, editing, and planning.
- Social media management.
- Web and multimedia management including content publishing.
- Ongoing strategic communications planning for long-term content development and recruitment marketing campaigns.
- Digital communications support for the purpose of recruitment and employee engagement.
- Short- and long-term campaign development for the purposes of recruitment.
- Provide after-hours service in emergency circumstances.
Starting salary will be approximately from $90,770 to $113,462 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in communications, marketing, and/or public relations in corporate environment.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the support, development and administration of social media and websites, including experience in the development, writing and editing of content.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Previous experience in a health care, government, public sector, not-for-profit or corporate environment an asset.
- Knowledge of current health topics and issues in B.C. and within the NH region are an asset.
- Knowledge of recruitment practices are an asset.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to develop interesting and engaging original content.
- Outstanding written communication skills.
- Outstanding copyediting skills.
- Demonstrated expertise writing for a variety of media, including print, video (scripts), social media and web.
- Extensive knowledge of communications tools and practices used within a corporate environment.
- Experience with social media, multimedia, and website development.
- Working knowledge of design, photography, publications production, desktop publishing and electronic communications.
- Proven experience developing promotional campaign plans and materials for the purpose of community engagement, both online and not.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally in a confident and effective manner.
- Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to build and foster relationships between organizations and groups.
- Ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive issues in a professional manner.
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and high functioning under stressful situations.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to set priorities and be results-oriented.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and other stakeholders in a wide variety of settings across the organization.
