Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Lines Underwriter Support to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and operational support to our Personal Lines Underwriting team. This role requires fluency in both English and Punjabi to effectively communicate with clients and brokers from diverse communities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Underwriting Support: Assist underwriters with gathering and reviewing application information for personal lines policies (auto, home, renters, etc.), ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.

Customer Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, brokers, and agents, responding to inquiries and providing updates on policy status in both English and Punjabi.

Data Entry & Documentation: Input underwriting data into the system, maintain accurate records, and ensure all client information is properly filed.

Policy Issuance & Endorsements: Support the processing of policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory standards.

Claims Liaison: Assist with the claims process by coordinating information between the underwriting and claims departments, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients and brokers by delivering excellent customer service and providing clear communication in both languages.

Reporting & Analysis: Assist with generating reports, reviewing policy details, and helping underwriters identify areas for improvement or risk exposure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Fluency in English and Punjabi (both written and spoken) is essential to communicate effectively with a diverse client base.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in insurance or related fields is a plus.

Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in an administrative support role within the insurance industry, preferably in personal lines underwriting.

Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with underwriting or insurance management software is preferred.

Attention to Detail: Ability to review and process large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.

Customer Service Orientation: Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
