The Project Development Manager supports the Director of Project Development in integrated Building Technical direction, management, and leadership in the administrative building and technical business planning and budgeting of a portfolio of major projects impacting multiple strategic core functions and components across Park Place Seniors Living priorities.
The responsibility of the position includes, but not limited to:

Assist with the integration of multiple major project operations; ensure that project efforts are generally cohesive, consistent, and effective in supporting Park Place Seniors Living's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.

Supports Director of Project Development in building acquisitions, building assessments, new construction oversight, implementation of capital projects, and building renovations.

Assists in developing policies, strategies, and operating objectives consistent with the organization to ensure efficient and effective implementation of major across-Park Place Seniors Living projects tied to strategic priorities.

Collaborates in the development of RFPs and grant proposals.

Participates in developing, implementing, and maintaining individual project objectives and short- and long-range plans; develops tracking and evaluation programs to assist in accomplishing established project goals and objectives.

Supports the management of a large, diverse maintenance team.

Manages the working relationships between project leadership, principal business and operational stakeholders, and external constituencies.

Collaborates with Park Place Leadership and administration to establish goals and priorities for business and technology solutions to meet individual Home and organizational needs.

Supports the Director of Project Development in managing complex, multi-faceted project plans as they relate to project development; performs cost and productivity analyses.

Recommends and participates in developing Park Place policies and procedures and is the Co-chair of the Corporate Facilities Maintenance Committee.

Maintains currency of knowledge regarding Park Place Seniors Living's strategic directions and plans and relevant state-of-the-art systems and technology.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:-
Construction project management: 3 minimum years (required)

Technical certification/diploma (required)
-
Project management professional certification (an asset)

Equivalences in Education and training may be considered
REQUIRED ELEMENTS
- A driver’s license in good standing is required.

A reliable vehicle is required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Must Have):-
Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.

Skilled in the understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge

Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions and implement solutions and procedures.

Demonstrate the ability to understand complex building drawings, building codes and permit requirements.

Knowledge of current developments and trends in best practices, project management, and related technology.

Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups.

Demonstrated ability to successfully direct, coordinate, and strategically integrate multiple developmental, enhancement, and modification projects.

Knowledge and understanding of organization structure, workflow, and operating procedures.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement short- and long-range systems, capacity, technology, and operational plans.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:-
Assessing exterior and interior buildings, including roofs and foundations, requires some lifting, sitting, driving, walking, and climbing ladders.

Attending multiple sites and oversee ongoing and new projects will require travel, which will vary from considerable to minimal depending on the workload and project assignments.
