Looking for team members to work at our commissary facility in Newmarket, 155 Pony Drive.
The production schedule is Monday to Friday in Newmarket.
Our brand-new food production facility uses top of line equipment to produce organic soups, stews, stocks, sauces, butchery, salami, sausages and hot dogs.
Quality and control are maintained by using detail focused step-by-step recipes by an industry leading chef team to produce a superior, healthy and fully traced product that you can be proud of.
Specific responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
· Working collaboratively with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance to all food safety standards,
· Creating and following production schedules,
· Conducting training for employees on food safety procedures and standard operating procedures,
· Overseeing the procedures for setting up and sanitizing workstations, rooms, and equipment,
· Overseeing and scheduling routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment,
· Ensure all proper preparation/packing procedures are performed correctly and safe food standards are followed,
· Contribute to creating a safe working environment,
· Ensure that recording/receiving of incoming materials is conducted properly and products are inspected. Verify that items are in their correct space, and properly rotated.

Qualifications/Requirements:
· Minimum 2-3 years previous work experience in a similar capacity.
· Experience working in highly regulated environments (i.e., OMAFRA certified facility would be an asset).
· Managerial experience working in a highly regulated environment.
· Self-motivated to work individually or work collaboratively as a team to set and accomplish goals.
· Can effectively communicate written and verbal in English. Communicates with respect, sincerity, integrity, and humility.
· Current Food Handler’s Training for the meat and processing industry, or knowledge to complete the certification, considered an asset.
· Must be legally able to work in Canada.
· All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance as per the employer standards.
· Able to prioritize tasks and problem solve with the ability to make fair and reasonable decisions in a timely manner.
Working Conditions:
Monday – Friday – 9:00am – 5:00pm*
*Schedule subject to change based on production and business demands.
Pay compensation will be relative to experience.
