Our client, a global leading Machine Builder organization is looking to hire Machine Builders to join their growing organization. All machines are custom made to order for industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Packaging, Automotive and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated parts and sub-assemblies to form completed system while maintaining high quality levels
- Read and work from engineering drawings and schematics to determine assembly procedures
- Use hand and power tools as well as material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts to fit and install parts and sub-assemblies
- Review parts received for quality and accuracy to the bill of material
- Complete tasks on schedule and according to established quality standards
- Suggest modifications or changes to parts or procedures for continuous improvement initiatives
- Responsible for reporting problems or issues as well as non-conformances
- Understand and follow all health and safety procedures including safe operation of equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in mechanics, hydraulics and/or electrical or certificate in related studies
- 5+ years relevant work experience in machine assembly
- Technically capable of performing single disciplines in hydraulics, mechanics, or electrical assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and/or engineering drawings
- Proficient using hand tools
- Ability to work in a safe manner and adhere to the rules and regulations under the Health and Safety Act
