Assist the Operators with the preparation of orders for the shift to minimize the amount of non-productive time and production scrap.
Assist the Operators with the running of the pouch machines with emphasis placed on the manual aspects associated with the operation of the machine.
Participate in ongoing practical and theoretical training as outlined in the department training plan.
Assist with simple, routine maintenance on the machines.
Maintain the department at a level of housekeeping as outlined by the Company.
Ensure that material is available for each machine and line up in an orderly fashion.
Supply machines with appropriate pallets and other accessories.
Operate forklift equipment.
Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak's TQI program.
Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF 2000 standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Good aptitude for machines.
Previous related work experience is preferred.
Other combinations of education, experience, knowledge, and skills will be considered.
