As a Commis (Trainee Chef), you will support our kitchen operations and assist senior chefs in preparing fresh, high-quality meals for our guests. Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with food preparation and ingredient setup for daily kitchen operations
- Preparing basic dishes under the guidance of senior chefs
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations
- Following food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Helping with inventory preparation and ingredient storage
- Ensuring ingredients are properly handled and stored
- Supporting breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, or event service when needed
- Learning kitchen procedures, plating standards, and culinary techniques
- A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality
- Culinary school training or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required
- Willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment
