Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead the team at our Kanata location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for all things baking. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Your ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of service and performance will be key to your success in this role.
Duties
- Supervise and manage store staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee daily operations including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and resolving any customer issues or complaints.
- Manage cash handling procedures, including cashiering and POS operations.
- Analyze sales data and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Train new employees on store policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and motivate the team.
- Maintain store appearance by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adherence to visual merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with upper management on promotional strategies and product pricing.
- Baking, decorating, cleaning, etc (all the regular duties of a Baker) as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bakery management or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in cashiering systems and POS technology.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions based on trends.
- Experience in price management and retail sales strategies is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends as needed.
- Proficient in Excel
- Experience in a bakery setting
- Trustworthy and reliable
