Overview:
DOC247 is an Alberta-based healthcare technology company that connects patients with family physicians through innovative virtual and in-person care solutions. We partner with physicians and medical clinics to improve access to quality healthcare across Alberta.
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to drive the growth of DOC247 by developing relationships with physicians, medical clinics, and strategic healthcare partners. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding our network of healthcare providers, and promoting DOC247's services to support continued organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to increase physician participation, clinic partnerships, and healthcare service adoption throughout Alberta.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with family physicians, specialists, clinic owners, medical administrators, healthcare executives, and community stakeholders.
- Lead the full partnership development process, including prospecting, presentations, negotiations, contract execution, onboarding, and ongoing relationship management.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, referrals, industry events, and strategic outreach.
- Promote DOC247's virtual care platform, physician services, and digital healthcare solutions to prospective partners and healthcare organizations.
- Collaborate with physician recruitment teams to identify and engage qualified physicians interested in joining the DOC247 network.
- Conduct market analysis to evaluate healthcare trends, competitive activities, physician workforce needs, and emerging business opportunities.
- Develop customized partnership proposals and business solutions that align with client objectives and organizational goals.
- Negotiate service agreements and partnership terms while ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, contracts, and business development initiatives using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or equivalent systems.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, physician recruitment, and executive leadership to support promotional campaigns, product launches, and strategic initiatives.
- Represent DOC247 at healthcare conferences, physician networking events, professional associations, and community engagement activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators, partnership outcomes, and client satisfaction metrics to improve service delivery and business performance.
- Provide regular reports, sales forecasts, market intelligence, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Maintain current knowledge of healthcare regulations, physician practice models, digital health technologies, and industry best practices.
Experience & Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of progressive experience in business development, healthcare partnerships, physician recruitment, executive search, healthcare consulting, account management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar client relationship management systems.
- Strong understanding of Alberta's healthcare system, physician practice environments, and healthcare service delivery models.
- Excellent business development, sales, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage physicians, clinic owners, healthcare executives, and other key stakeholders professionally and effectively.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and contract management skills.
