Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Candidates who are comfortable with aftermarket performance modifications are encouraged to apply. Pay range varies based on experience. We are not offering any international/PR sponsorship, applicants must be already in the Lower Mainland area and have a valid work permit.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on automobiles, trucks, and heavy machinery using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic schematics.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of parts during repair or maintenance procedures.
- Communicate efficiently with team about any symptoms and repairs needed to ensure customer service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; comfortable working with hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across various systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with good customer service abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive standard transmissions safely
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $24.00-$40.00 per hour
