Veterinary/Kennel Assistant
Armstrong Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Veterinary/Kennel Assistant to join our team.
We are a busy mixed-animal practice located in the beautiful North Okanagan Valley, committed to providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients.
About the Role
As a Veterinary/Kennel Assistant, you will play an important role in the daily operation of our clinic by providing patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
Responsibilities
- Caring for hospitalized patients
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels and hospital areas
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and procedures
- Administering medications as directed
- Stocking supplies and assisting with inventory
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment
Qualifications
- Experience working with animals is required
- Veterinary clinic experience is an asset but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong team-player mentality
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings
