SPIN Toronto is looking to hire Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher!
SPIN is a 12,000 square foot ping pong social club located in the heart of the Entertainment District. The club boasts 12 Olympic-style ping pong tables, 2 DJ booths, 2 full-service bars, an extensive menu with elevated street-style fare and can accommodate upwards of 300 guests. We are proud to be a part of a Global team with locations in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Seattle, Washington and Austin.
SPIN is unique in the fact that it’s a hybrid between a bar and an event space. Our demographic is always growing and changing, and our environment is both fun and stimulating to work and learn in.
The kitchen at SPIN is proud to make all dishes using local and sustainable ingredients. Each dish, including all sauces and dips, is made from scratch in-house. The bar menu is carefully curated to include hand-crafted cocktails, local craft beer and wine.
At SPIN’s core is the drive to connect through ping pong—a game that transcends age, gender and boundaries.
What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented, enthusiastic dishwasher that also loves food and can help with prep tasks.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items in accordance with safety standards
- Support the organization of kitchen supplies and inventory management
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a hygienic work environment
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold cleanliness standards
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and food handling practices is preferred
- Experience with food preparation or cooking can be beneficial but is not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work collaboratively within a team
- Prior hospitality or serving experience is considered a plus but not essential
