At SMS Equipment, our Integration Architect is responsible for establishing an overall system integration strategy for SMS Equipment, and leading and contributing to the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of integrations within SMS environment. This position is in Acheson, AB.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Own and lead an overall system integration strategy for the organization including collaboration with business analysts and project managers on how to build integrations.
- Own and define system integration standards.
- Assist various IT and project teams to guide integration solutioning, and ensure alignment with business requirements, relevant standards, best practices, and IT policies.
- Support various teams and act as an escalation point.
- Stay apprised of current integration technologies to identify opportunities to help the company achieve its overall vision.
- Collaborate with and provide project teams with detailed work breakdown structures and sequencing for technical activities.
- Promote integration standards and strategy, including actively raising awareness of new integration technologies and opportunities to adopt a standardized consistent approach and engaging teams for feedback.
- Provide input into solution or platform roadmaps.
- Design, create, implement, test, enhance and document system integrations.
- Organize and lead small teams through software release cycles for smaller software-development-oriented projects/initiatives.
- Provide post-implementation guidance to operational support teams.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on corporate policies, standards and constraints that could impact application development.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or a related field paired with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with Azure technologies. Additional requirements include:
- Strong knowledge of Azure API Management, Azure DevOps and Azure private links.
- Strong knowledge of Azure-based Identity & Access Management techniques using service principles.
- Experience in .NET Core API design, architecture, development and implementation in a corporate environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Databases and Azure SQL.
- Ability to collaborate well with others to meet objectives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- Proven troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Microsoft Azure certification is preferred.
- TOGAF Certification is preferred.
