Our client is seeking an experienced hands-on Office Bookkeeping Administrator. The successful candidate should be a roll up your sleeves Accountant who will handle all aspects of the full cycle accounting. HR and office administrative functions are also applicable to the role.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Preparation of monthly statements
Payroll and relevant remittances
WSIB account management
Employee file maintenance
A successful candidate will have:
Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience in all aspects of accounting including preparation of GL, bank reconciliation, invoicing and AR, AP and payroll
Thorough knowledge of procedures for payroll source deductions and government remittances including HST
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office software suite (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.)
Excellent people skills, ability to get along well with others; pleasant, clear communicator both verbal and written and good listener
Ability to plan, organize multiple priorities, schedule and meet deadlines
Collaborative problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of general office procedures
Strong customer focus
Experienced working with external support entities such as Government Agencies, Accountants and Legal
Detail oriented and engaged to play an active role in the financial and administrative aspect of the dealership
Education & Experience
At least 5 years of current experience as a bookkeeper with responsibility for full-cycle accounting.
Post-secondary education with major in accounting or bookkeeping, small business accounting.
Previous experience working in an automotive dealership is preferred
Experience with CDK software is a definite asset
