We are looking for punctual, hardworking, and committed individuals to join our abatement team in Kamloops for approx 6 week term until the job completion. Scope of work is hazardous material removal from building.
Your responsibilities will be a variety of duties such as preparation and cleanup of the construction site, and working with others to complete the tasks. Supervisors and working as a team is the most critical part of this role.
The job entails wearing a Tyvek suit/respirator and being able to lift approximately 25 kg. You will need to supply your own pair of steel toed boots, high vis vest, and hard hat.
The person we are looking for must:
- Be punctual and on time.
- Be committed to safety in the workplace.
- Be well rounded and adaptable to a variety physical tasks.
- Be organized and take pride in your work.
- Be flexible to working overtime, out of town, and evening shifts (all on occasion).
A drivers license is an important asset, but not necessary. Must be able to meet on site.
An asbestos certificate would be an asset, but not mandatory.
Wages starting from $24.83/hour, based on experience and training.
