We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Piano Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching music, capable of tailoring lessons to individual students, and committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning experience. This role includes teaching beginner to advanced students in their homes, preparing them for recitals and exams, and contributing to the musical development of the studio’s community.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to students’ homes for in-person lessons.
- Provide personalized piano lessons to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and potential music examinations.
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate a balance of technique, theory, and repertoire.
- Maintain open communication with students’ parents/guardians regarding progress and feedback.
- Contribute to studio recitals, workshops, and other music-related activities.
- Foster a supportive, inspiring, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- A degree in Music, Music Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a piano teacher or performer.
- Ability to teach various musical styles and adapt to different learning paces.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching.
- Reliable transportation (car required) for travel to students’ homes.
- Availability for evenings or weekends as required.
