Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Solo/Team Long Haul Truck Driver to Join Our Team at New Way Trucking Ltd. throughout Canada from Major Cities. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight across long distances. As a Long Haul Driver, you will contribute significantly to our mission of providing exceptional transportation services.
Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Commercial Equipment over long distances to deliver freight.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of Tractor Trailers to ensure Safety and Compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Ensure the Secure Loading and Unloading of freight as needed.
- Delivering Freight On Time following all of the above requirements.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's License or Equivalent (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven 1 Year Experience as a long-haul driver or similar role is preferred.
- Valid FAST Card (Free and Secure Trade) required for cross-border travel between Canada and the United States.
- Ability to travel across the Canada–U.S. border regularly for work assignments.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
