Experienced Hardscape Landscaper – Brick Patios & Walkways
My Guys Landscaping Inc. is a growing Calgary-based landscaping company looking for an experienced Hardscape Landscaper specializing in the installation of brick patios, walkways, retaining walls, and paving stone projects.
Position Details
- Location: Calgary, Alberta
- Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Job Type: Full-Time Seasonal with potential for year-round employment
- Start Date: Immediate
Responsibilities
- Install brick patios, walkways, and paving stone features
- Complete site preparation, excavation, grading, and compaction
- Install base materials and bedding layers to industry standards
- Read landscape plans and layout hardscape projects accurately
- Operate landscaping equipment including skid steers, plate compactors, cut-off saws, and mini excavators
- Build retaining walls, garden borders, and other hardscape features
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality
- Work with crew members and communicate effectively on-site
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hardscaping experience
- Strong knowledge of paving stone and patio installation techniques
- Experience operating landscaping and construction equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (required)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating skid steers and mini excavators
- Experience building retaining walls and steps
- Air brake endorsement or trailer towing experience is an asset
