We have an opening for a Research Intern (8 or 12 month term). This position is available in Calgary, AB for January 2025.
How we plan on keeping you busy:
- Contribute to the development and optimization of our mRNA drug substance.
- Contribute to the development of new formulations for mRNA delivery.
- Consolidate, interpret, and present data, and support the preparation of technical reports.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
What will help you get here:
- Must be enrolled as a post-secondary student during the work term
- Experience working in a biology, biochemistry, or chemistry laboratory environment.
- Experience with some of the typical molecular and cellular biology techniques including microbial or animal cell cultivation, mRNA in vitro translation and other enzymatic reactions, etc.
- Experience with some of the typical research methodologies used for mRNA vaccine development including capillary electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, dot-blot, Western blotting, in vitro translation, ELISA, qPCR, cell-based assays, etc.
- Understanding of GLP/GMP.
