ABOUT THE ROLE
IPECC Industrial is seeking contract Project Coordinators to support delivery of high voltage transmission capital projects in Edmonton. Working alongside Project Managers, you will coordinate project execution from inception through close-out across cost, schedule, safety, procurement, and documentation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and deliver assigned projects including permitting, construction, and commissioning
- Support a team of Project Managers across a portfolio of projects varying in scale and complexity
- Maintain project records in SharePoint, IVARA, and eScheduler
- Support scheduling by providing updates for integration into Primavera program schedule
- Use Oracle and Oracle Business Intelligence for procurement, vendor payments, and cost monitoring
- Assist in creating and maintaining project charters, plans, CfCCs, change requests, and close-out documents
- Organize project meetings, record action items, maintain issues logs, and file safety documentation
- Support RFP development, bid evaluations, and contract formation
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, project controls, and construction crews
- Participate in field kick-offs, walk-downs, and HSE inspections
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical diploma
- 4 years of project coordination or project management experience in a construction environment
- Experience with utility construction in energized substations
- Understanding of PMBOK project management processes
- PMP designation is an asset
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
The following certifications must be completed within one month of engagement.
- Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
- Electrical Safety Training System (ESTS)
- Contractor Management
- WHMIS Worker Education
- Hazard Management
