Heavy Duty Trailer Mechanic – Acheson, AB
We are looking for a journeyman heavy duty trailer mechanic who has the ability to work on new trailer rig-ups, perform commercial vehicle inspections and service a wide variety of commercial trailers
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 1:30 pm to 12:00 am
Responsibilities:
- Duties will involve completing services on heavy duty/commercial trailers as well as the repairs required to maintain the units
- Must be able to complete AB commercial inspections on heavy duty trailers (current valid inspectors license required)
- Proven ability to complete advanced repairs on all makes and models
- Advanced experience using computer diagnostic tools
Education & Experience:
- 3rd Year to Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
- Must have both truck and trailer experience
- AB Safety Inspectors Certificate required
- Valid Class 1 with air an asset
- Team player with a strong commitment to customer service
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn in-house programs
- Ability to lift 75 pounds perform physically demanding duties
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
