Our recruitment team here at Myticas is looking for an experienced Technical Service / System Admin who would be interested in a contract opportunity within the Ottawa, Ontario region.
Patching the various Enterprise Applications (i.e. WebLogic, JAVA, Tomcat) VM machines
Developing and documenting an automated or streamlined process for patching Java, WebLogic, Tomcat and 3rd Party applications.
Working with members of the Enterprise Applications team, research, review and document our patching process for third party applications supported by our team.
Working with members of the Technical Services team to investigate feasibility of changing JAVA versions from Oracle JAVA to OpenJDK
Review all new CSM incidents and Jira issues and assign appropriately. Notify management team of assigned items
Assisting with promotions – Learn the basic promotions for production. Familiarity with running SQL queries in Oracle an asset
Assisting with configuration of new production servers running Banner 9 ERP in a Load Balanced environment.
Assisting with support to Enterprise Applications running on Windows and Linux Servers.
Windows/UNIX/LINUX Server Administrator – familiar with administration accounts, server roles, Java updates, Oracle updates, Software installation/configuration
Application support including upgrades/patching
Windows Server Security - familiar with applying hardening of Windows servers
Strong documentation skills
WebLogic/Tomcat Administration and Configuration experience
Scripting experience (batch files, Powershell)
Automating Java updates without impacting legacy applications
