The team is looking to hire a Director of Finance; a true Financial Planning and Analysis guru that can roll their selves up! The Director of Finance will provide strategic vision, direction and leadership in the CEO.
The Director of Finance will be responsible for the following:
Working with executive leadership to establish and report on relevant, insightful Key Performance Indicators covering finance and business operations: monthly / quarterly / annual statements, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reporting, project reconciling, project profitability, finance-operations Quality Management
Extracting and presenting sharp, coherent insights from these reports; contributing to business planning
Generating, executing, and reporting on a 3 Year Strategic Plan in alignment with the Executive Management Team
Effectively coaching, utilizing, and demonstrating accountability for the Bookkeeper, who will process vendor invoices, client invoicing, steward collections and reconciling, assist with month-end reporting, bill payment, reimbursements, payroll, etc.
Working with executive leadership to better-integrate finance into other business areas (i.e. implement project profitability metrics, participate in IT dev initiative to integrate departments)
Supporting executive management in performing cost/ benefit analysis of options during new business ventures and other business strategies
The Director of Finance will have the following qualifications:
CPA Designation (CA background, if relevant)
5+ years’ experience as a Finance Manager or Director of Finance, being the person accountable for the Finance Department
Intellectually curious and analytical professional who strives for continuous improvement
Organized, effective self-starter able to identify, plan, and deliver on goals efficiently
Tech-savvy systems-thinker able to design and refine processes and systems
Experience working for a small growing business, able to prioritize and cut through complexity in a highly dynamic environment
Experience hiring, training, managing a small team
Clear, confident communicator and team player
Experience with Project Accounting
Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks wizard!
