YORAMEN is a Japanese ramen restaurant in Uptown Saint John serving ramen, abura soba, donburi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes.
We are hiring a reliable Full-Time Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
Position Details
- Role: Line Cook
- Hours: 30–40 hrs/week
- Type: Full-time
- Pay: $17–$20/hr (based on experience)
- Location: Uptown Saint John, NB
Responsibilities
- Cook menu items following YORAMEN standards
- Work the line during busy service
- Prep food and set up stations daily
- Maintain quality, portioning, and presentation
- Keep kitchen clean, stocked, and organized
- Follow food safety and sanitation rules
- Assist with opening/closing duties
- Work closely with kitchen and FOH team
Requirements
- Previous restaurant/commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, team-oriented, and responsible
- Comfortable with general kitchen duties (prep, cooking, cleaning)
- Available 30–40 hrs/week, including evenings/weekends
- Asian/Japanese cuisine experience is an asset (not required)
- Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Filipino language skills are an asset
