We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join a dynamic warehouse/manufacturing environment in Milton. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, moving, and shipping materials efficiently and accurately while supporting both warehouse and production operations.
This role requires a reliable, experienced individual with strong communication skills, proven forklift experience, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work from written or verbal instructions, system-generated picking documents, and established work routines.
- Verify part numbers and quantities against packing slips for accuracy.
- Receive incoming parts on the dock and/or truck bay, relocate them, and ensure proper allocation and documentation.
- Prepare items for shipment by assembling containers, posting weights, and completing required paperwork.
- Pick, pack, move, put away, wrap, and load skids of various sizes and weights.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse office, customer service, drivers, and carriers to ensure proper delivery.
- Perform accurate picking and counting of materials of various weights and dimensions.
- Support and assist team members with various warehouse tasks and dock activities as required.
- Operate lift equipment safely (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, and Order Picker) to move materials in and out of high-bay racking and throughout the facility.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area — including emptying bins (wood, wire, steel, garbage, cardboard).
- Troubleshoot and resolve pending transactions.
- Promote a safety-first and continuous improvement culture in collaboration with team members and leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in material handling within a manufacturing or warehouse environment and is confident using forklifts and material handling tools. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and communicate effectively across departments. A strong safety mindset, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating Counterbalance, Reach Truck, and Order Picker in a warehouse/manufacturing environment (narrow aisle experience preferred).
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada (no sponsorship available).
- Must reside within 50 km of Milton, ON (no relocation provided).

- Effective time management and teamwork skills.

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
