Due to our continued growth we are currently seeking experienced applicants for a Demolition foreman position.
Foreman Duties & Responsibilities -
- Work safely in a construction site and promote safety amongst crew, always follow Matcon Health & Safety Policy's and Procedures
- Leading operator and construction crews in daily meetings, keep the crews updated and on track with the daily schedule
- Read, Understand & Interpret Drawings & As-builts, hazardous material surveys, and demolition plans
- Coordinating with superintendents, project managers, and inspectors, engineers to understand requirements , tasks and budgets
- Organizing deliveries and subcontractors, setting up layouts with prime or sub contractors, organize and set up testing
- Attend meetings to discuss job production, schedule, conflicts and provide toolbox updates to crews
- Assist in purchase of necessary equipment, rigging and tools, as necessary.
- Daily site paperwork, timesheets, Toolbox and FLHA completion and Developing and overseeing the execution of JHA’s
- Uploading paperwork onto server
- Able to identify hazardous materials and ensure that only authorized, adequately trained personnel handle these materials
We are seeking high quality candidates with the following requirements:
- Complete understanding of all positions within your crew
- Friendly, professional, well-presented, and clear communicator.
- Able to handle pressure and coordination of several tasks at once.
- Problem solver.
- A valid Driver's License is required for this position
- Basic computer skills
- Must have full understanding on all aspects of Demolition
- Must carry oneself professionally when meeting with clients and members of the public, as well as having good communication skills
- Ability to support crew and keep them motivated , as well as good moral
- Must be physically fit, most of the time spent standing, lifting, walking, working hands on with crew. As well as ability to endure harsh weather conditions
