Summary:
The Welder & Shop Technician plays a key role in maintaining and repairing our bin fleet, equipment, vehicles, and property. This is a versatile, hands-on position that combines welding, painting, equipment operation, and property maintenance.

Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication
- Weld and repair steel bins (MIG & Stick welding)
- Perform structural repairs and reinforcements
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Sandblasting & Painting
- Sandblast bins and equipment (training provided if needed)
- Prep, prime, and paint bins and steel components
- Maintain painting and blasting equipment
Equipment Operation
- Operate heavy equipment such as loader and skid steer
- Move bins and materials around the yard safely
Shop & Fleet Maintenance
- Perform small repairs on trucks and equipment
- Assist with general mechanical maintenance
- Keep shop clean, organized, and efficient
- Monitor and manage shop inventory
Property & Facility Maintenance
- Landscaping and lawn mowing
- Spring and fall cleanups
- Leaf cleanups
- Snow removal and salting
- Parking lot sweeping
- General building maintenance and painting
Other Duties
- Assist with day-to-day operational needs as required
- Support overall yard and facility organization
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years welding experience (certification not required)
- Comfortable with MIG and Stick welding
- Sandblasting experience is an asset (training available)
- Mechanically inclined (mechanic background is a strong asset)
- Experience operating loader or skid steer is an asset
- Strong work ethic and pride in craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (flexible as needed)
- Overtime paid after 44 hours
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
