Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server for Bluestone Cottage to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide exceptional guest services by greeting and seating Guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and knowledge of food safety standards are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems (Pixel Point)
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash, credit and debit transactions accurately
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support team operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent guest services and hospitality
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years full service experience is mandatory
- Knowledge of POS systems (Pixel Point) is required
- Knowledge of OpenTable is an asset
- Barista experience is strongly preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a team within a fast-paced setting
- Experience with food industry practices, including serving, food safety, and food handling is required
- Smart Serve or an equivalent is required
- Candidates must be available daytime, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, and must be available weekends and holidays.
