Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing, carpentry, and various construction techniques, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and restoration projects, requiring proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. The successful applicant will contribute to building durable structures while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate project execution
- Frame walls, floors, roofs, and other structural components using wood and metal materials
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks for foundation or structural work
- Install siding, trim, and other exterior or interior finishing elements
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with welding and other metal fabrication tasks as needed
- Conduct restoration work on existing structures to restore or improve their condition
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry, framing, or construction work preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in concrete forming, concrete finishing, and working with heavy lifting equipment
- Familiarity with siding installation, woodworking techniques, and restoration projects
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes is a plus
- Knowledge of welding processes is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety protocols in a construction environment
- Prior experience with construction site teamwork and project coordination is beneficial
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
