Job description:
We are looking for Nurse Practitioners (NP) for a travel assignment in Northern Ontario.
**This is an independent contractor position. Apply only if willing to accept travel assignments or short term contracts.**
Requirements:
- Valid BLS, ACLS an asset
- NP registration in good standing with their province's College of Nurses
- Covid vaccinations - at least 2 doses
- Vulnerable Sector Check within 6 months
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Experience
- Working with a multidisciplinary team of Physicians and other health professionals in a medical setting.
- Working with community partners and sharing patient care.
- Working with a Medical record
Pay: From $145.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
