Tubeway Inc. is a medium sized steel fabrication business specializing in tube laser cutting.
Our organization is in need of a Quotation Specialist to assist in our day to day job quoting and estimating. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with manufacturing (steel), estimating and customer service. The Quotation Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all quotes are prepared accurately, and will also be responsible for tracking quotations, follow up's with customers and building relationships with our suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Create & deliver accurate customer quotes by converting part specifications and drawings in a timely fashion.
- Confirm all routing steps and timeline for each part are entered prior to creating quotation.
- Communicate and share files with suppliers to obtain pricing necessary for the quotation.
- Act as a point of contact between the customer and order entry.
- Provide customer support and technical information about the company’s service offerings and production capabilities.
- Track quotations and regularly follow with customers to convert quotes into purchase orders.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- 1 year experience in customer service role preferred.
- Experience and familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints preferred.
- Experience with high volume administrative/production environments required.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and planning skills required.
- Knowledge and experience of functional area and department processes preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite or similar.
- Manufacturing experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
