Start Date: As soon as possible.
Duration: Temp 8 weeks with possibility of extension
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7 AM – 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $22-23/ hr
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with concrete cutting, jackhammering, forming, and finishing concrete.
- Support site repairs including tank-pad, forecourt, and island maintenance, such as replacing spill containers and grade rings.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on petroleum equipment, including piping systems.
- Assist with equipment setup, towing trailers, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Help with site safety, documentation, and customer support, ensuring excellent service standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and work under stress, maintaining a professional demeanor.
Required Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
- 2 years of construction experience
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to tow small trailers and loaders.
- Access to a reliable vehicle for traveling between sites.
- Ability to work independently with good judgment and a proactive attitude.
- Good organizational skills, timeliness, and a professional approach.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with concrete work, including cutting, finishing, and formwork.
- Electrical experience or basic understanding of electrical concepts.
- Experience with skid steer or mini-excavators.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior construction or petroleum industry experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in a safety-conscious environment and follow safety protocols.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, including after-hours work.
