Job Description
We are hiring reliable Pork Rib Cutting Production Workers for a meat-processing facility in Langley, BC.
The main responsibility of this position is cutting and handling pork ribs in a fast-paced production environment. Applicants must be fully comfortable working with raw pork products.
Responsibilities
- Cut and portion pork ribs according to production requirements
- Handle, sort, and prepare pork products
- Inspect products for quality
- Follow food safety, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Use cutting tools safely and correctly
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow instructions from supervisors and production leads
- Perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods
- Lift and move products weighing approximately 18–30 kg
- Wear all required personal protective equipment
Work Environment
- Cold, wet, and slippery meat-processing facility
- Fast-paced production setting
- Regular handling of raw pork products
- Repetitive cutting and physical work
- Standing for extended periods
Qualifications
- Previous meat cutting, pork processing, food production, or similar experience is preferred
- At least one year of food or meat-production experience is considered an asset
- Experience using knives or meat-cutting tools is an asset
- High school diploma is preferred but not mandatory
- Must be comfortable cutting and handling raw pork
- Must be physically capable of lifting 18–30 kg
- Must be comfortable working in cold and wet conditions
- Must be dependable and available Monday to Friday
- Strong attention to workplace and food safety
- Must be available to attend a facility tour during August 4–7
- Must be available for orientation during the second week of August
