Pay:
$22.00–$26.00 per hour
As a Lesson Supervisor / Instructor, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality swim lessons while ensuring the safety, professionalism, and smooth operation of our programs. You’ll spend your time between teaching lessons and supervising in water and on deck, supporting instructors, students, and families in collaboration with our Swim Management Team.
You’ll also have opportunities to support administration, equipment, and staff training, making this an excellent role for experienced instructors looking to grow their leadership skills.
Deliver exceptional instructional and safety-focused swim programs in line with Pedalheads Swim standards
Provide friendly, professional customer service and confidently answer questions about our programs
Mentor and support swim instructors, offering constructive feedback and coaching
Monitor lessons and ensure program quality, safety, and teaching standards are consistently met
Remain on-deck, alert, and ready to step in when support is needed
Fill in for instructors as required due to illness or absence
Ensure classes run on time and student progress evaluations are completed
Communicate regularly with the Swim Management Team regarding staffing, customer feedback, and program activity
Respond to emergencies, perform first aid, and coordinate rescues when necessary
Complete required incident reports and follow-up documentation accurately
Attend and actively participate in required training, meetings, and clinics
Identify and report health and safety concerns within the facility
Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification
Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard – Pool Certification
Standard First Aid & CPR-C Certification
Lifesaving Society Lifesaving Instructor Certification is considered an asset
- Additional certifications are an asset and may result in a higher starting wage
Prior experience in aquatics as a Swim Instructor and/or Lifeguard
Supervisory experience is an asset

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
