The Role
We are seeking a responsible, detail-oriented, and hardworking Installation Technician. In this role, you will work both independently and alongside a skilled team to install and configure sophisticated residential and commercial technology. Main Responsibilities
- System Installation: Install, mount, and configure AV hardware, displays/TVs, projection systems, and indoor/outdoor audio components (including 8-Ohm and 70-Volt systems).
- Smart Home & Security: Set up and integrate smart lighting, motorized window shades, surveillance cameras, and NVRs.
- Networking: Configure basic residential/commercial networks, Wi-Fi access points, and routers.
- Structured Cabling: Pull, terminate, dress, and test various low-voltage cables, including Cat6, RG6, HDMI, RCA, and speaker wire.
- Client Training: Deliver exceptional customer service by cleanly demonstrating finished systems to clients and teaching them how to operate their new technology.
- Project Tracking: Maintain and report accurate daily records of hours worked and materials utilized on-site.
- Safety & Compliance: Safely operate power tools, ladders, and motorized lifts in accordance with safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical Aptitude: A strong, proven passion for electronics, smart home tech, or low-voltage systems.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work comfortably at heights (on ladders/lifts), and work in confined spaces (such as attics or crawlspaces).
- Tools & Mobility: High proficiency with standard hand and power tools. Must possess a personal smartphone for daily communication and scheduling apps.
- Professionalism: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with high ethical standards when working in premium client homes.
- Logistics: A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
