Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced AZ Driver/Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment to transport freight efficiently and securely.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy machinery, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of shipments, delivery logs, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, including hours of service rules.
Qualifications
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- One year experience operating commercial trucks, heavy equipment, or forklifts in a freight environment.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes.
- Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually or with machinery as required.
