Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Karate Instructor - minimum first degree Black Belt, to teach students of all ages and skill levels in our martial arts program. Previous experience as a karate instructor is an asset. This role offers an opportunity to promote physical fitness, discipline, and confidence through engagement in karate classes in a supportive environment.
Duties
- Conduct engaging and effective karate classes for students of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate fundamental techniques, forms, sparring, and self-defense skills.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized training area, ensuring equipment is properly stored and maintained.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes discipline, respect, and motivation.
- Assist with special events, demonstrations, or competitions as needed.
- Incorporate swimming skills into relevant classes if applicable, enhancing overall student versatility.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Karate.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct students and motivate them.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different age groups and skill levels.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards student development.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all participants.
Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
