We are currently seeking a Carpenter Helper for a project-based assignment at a camp-based mining operation in Ontario. This drive-in/drive-out role involves assisting with facility maintenance and various carpentry-related projects throughout the site. Pay is $40.00/hour plus overtime after 8 hours per day ; candidates must provide references, pass a pre-employment medical, and complete a Criminal Record Check.
We are looking for those individuals with a strong work ethic and a good employment track-record and a demonstrated safety record
Main Accountabilities:
- Assist carpenters with construction, maintenance, and repair projects
- Carry, load, and unload tools, materials, and equipment
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials under the direction of a carpenter
- Perform basic carpentry tasks such as assembling, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures
- Support facility maintenance projects, including repairs to buildings, camp accommodations, and site infrastructure
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with demolition, removal of damaged materials, and site preparation
- Follow safety procedures and participate in workplace safety programs
Perform general labour duties as required to support maintenance and construction activities

Main Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Carpenter Helper, General Labourer, or in a construction/maintenance environment
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and safe work practices
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, and moving materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently when required
- Experience working in industrial, mining, camp, or remote-site environments is considered an asset
- Valid Driver's License
