Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive repairs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to upsell additional services when appropriate. Experience in body shopenvironments or mechanic work is highly valued, and familiarity with automotive repair processes will ensure success in this position.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess scope of repairs needed
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines
- Collaborate with technicians and mechanics to understand repair requirements and timelines
- Assist customers through the claims process and provide updates on vehicle status
- Upsell additional services or repairs that may benefit the customer while maintaining integrity
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Maintain organized records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Experience
- Proven experience in customer service within an automotive setting
- Ability to perform accurate sales and upselling techniques
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, insurance claims, and estimating software is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly and accurately

Pay: $45,437.24-$65,000.00 per year
