Summit Veterinary Pharmacy is seeking one temporary (one year contract) full-time Pharmacist to join our busy Pharmacy Operations Department team.
Located in Aurora, Ontario, Summit has been supplying prescription compounded medications to veterinary clinics across Canada for over 20 years. Our mission is to set the standard for excellence in veterinary compounding; enabling veterinarians to fulfill their commitment to their clients' health and well-being.

Principle Responsibilities & Required Skills:
- Ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions
- Verifying steps in the compounding process complying with OCP and company SOP’s
- Maintaining all records in accordance with current regulations, standards of practice, and company policies
- Knowledge of Kroll software
- Consulting with practitioners as required to promote health of the patient
- Patient counselling for dispensed prescriptions
- General oversight of staff and technicians to ensure they are following applicable guidelines, standards, SOP’s and procedures
- Working knowledge of NAPRA standards for compounding
- Inventory management
- Ensuring quality assurance and quality control compliance for preparations and procedures working in conjunction with Quality Assurance and Quality Control staff
- Bilingualism in English and French (preferred)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Efficient and able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Perform other related duties as required by management
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Specific degree requirements, courses of study, licenses etc.
- Baccalaureate degree in pharmacy
- Current license in good standing with Ontario College of Pharmacists as Part A pharmacist with professional liability insurance as prescribed by Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Compounding training preferred
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday - From: 8:00am to 3:00pm or 9:00am to 4:00pm
