THE ROLE
As our Front Desk Receptionist / Guest Experience Coordinator, you will be at the heart of the salon—welcoming guests, supporting our stylists, keeping the day organized, and helping create the beautiful, calm environment our clients have come to expect from MOOI.
You will be responsible for:
- Welcoming every guest warmly and professionally
- Managing a busy phone with confidence and excellent phone etiquette
- Answering client questions by phone, email, and in person
- Booking, confirming, changing, and managing appointments
- Checking guests in and out and ensuring a smooth arrival and departure experience
- Processing payments and retail purchases accurately
- Recommending and selling professional haircare products when appropriate
- Learning our services, products, pricing, and salon policies so you can confidently assist our guests
- Supporting stylists throughout the day and helping the salon run smoothly
- Maintaining a beautiful, clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house environment
- Preparing coffee, tea, and other guest amenities
- Managing client communication and follow-ups
- Assisting with inventory, deliveries, mail, and other administrative tasks
- Helping with opening and closing procedures
- Keeping the front desk and surrounding salon areas polished and guest-ready
- Handling unexpected situations calmly, professionally, and with good judgment
- Creating genuine relationships with our guests and helping them feel known and valued

EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in reception, hospitality, customer service, retail, administration, or a salon environment is an asset.
Salon or beauty-industry experience is wonderful, but it is not essential. We are more interested in finding the right person—someone who is lovely and Kind with exceptional people skills, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to create an outstanding guest experience.
Experience with salon booking systems, POS systems, multi-line phones, retail sales, or administrative work is an advantage.
