Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals is currently looking for a hardworking and safety-conscious Recycling Worker/Torch Cutter to join one of out client's team in Regina. This is a physically demanding, full-time position working primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and recycling scrap metal materials, including cutting and preparing scrap steel. This role requires heavy lifting, continuous physical work, and the ability to work safely in an industrial yard environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cutting torches to cut and process scrap steel and other metal materials.
- Sort, move, and prepare recyclable materials for processing and shipment.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labour throughout the shift.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area at all times.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Inspect tools and equipment before use and report any concerns.
- Work outdoors year-round in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Assist with general yard cleanup and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test.
- Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Valid driver's license and a vehicle (Public transit not available).
- Steel-toe safety boots and appropriate PPE required.
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
