Comedy TV series is looking for a NON-UNION Comedy Screenwriter/Story Producer
We are a Toronto production company who produces award-winning television. We are seeking to expand our successful team for the new 13-episode season of our established scripted comedy television series.
The series is unique in that it combines pre-shot footage with scripted content. While writing is a part of a show, the editing room is where the show is made. It requires creative story editors/screenwriters who understand how to shape footage and work with an editor to arc a story.
Must Be:
- Non-Union
- An Ontario resident
- A Canadian citizen
Duties/Responsibilities
- Arc a story and pace a 30-minute comedy
- Write scripts, dialogue, voiceover, treatments
- Review and break down footage
- Make written edit decision lists and write paper edits
- Dissect and package both reality/documentary style and scripted footage
- Work with an editor from raw cut to broadcast-ready
Assets:
- Comedy/improv background
- Experience writing for scripted TV
- Prior experience working in a writers room
- Strong interest for the entertainment industry
Starts immediately. Rate based on experience.

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
