Experience in calling the line during a fast pace service is required.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality food service.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Lead food preparation activities, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
- Train and mentor team members on food safety practices, cooking techniques, and service standards.
- Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization to uphold a safe working environment.
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality within the restaurant setting.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Extensive restaurant management experience preferred; knowledge of kitchen workflows is essential.
- Excellent food handling skills with a focus on safety and sanitation standards (food safety certification is a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Familiarity with the food industry trends, restaurant experience, and hospitality best practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to serve as an effective leader and team player.
