JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Admissions & Marketing, Canada to lead our global recruitment efforts. This pivotal role is responsible for diversifying our student body by developing and executing recruitment strategies in key markets. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in international education, agency management, and targeted marketing campaigns. While a dedicated on-campus admissions manager focuses on local enrollment and community PR, this role is specifically designed to drive international boarding enrollment and enhance the global diversity of our school community. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from either our Vancouver or Shawnigan Lake campus, while maintaining a regular presence at both locations each week.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Director of Admissions & Marketing, Canada
Reports to: Director of Admissions, China; Head of School for Shawnigan Lake Campus; Principal of Vancouver Campus
Remuneration: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 annual salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience; competitive compensation package including monthly performance-based commissions and an annual bonus opportunity tied to admissions target achievement; extended medical & dental package; optional RRSP matching program; optional on-campus housing and meals provided when working at the Shawnigan Lake campus.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Market Development: Propose and implement comprehensive strategies to increase international student enrollment, specifically prioritizing new recruitment markets outside of Asia.

Agency Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with international recruitment agencies and educational consultants.

Global Representation: Plan and attend international student recruitment fairs, information nights, and community events to promote the school's program.

Targeted Marketing: Oversee all marketing functions, including content creation, graphic design, new media and video production.

Admissions Leadership:
- Manage the international admissions pipeline, from initial inquiry through to enrollment, ensuring a seamless experience for global families.
- Develop a 3-year growth strategy and admissions targets for both campuses; lead international recruitment and domestic Canadian market expansion and formulate top-level brand planning.
- Manage recruitment for and implementation of international winter, spring and summer camps.

Strategic Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Head of School and the local admissions manager to align messaging and ensure a consistent brand presence across all platforms.
- Work closely with the Academic, Student Services, Registrar and Accounting departments to ensure smooth onboarding and billing for international boarding students; act as an internal bridge between admissions and campus operations.

Budget & Financial Control: Develop and manage the annual admissions and marketing budget in collaboration with the Director of Admissions (China); monitor ROI and tuition revenue variances; take corrective actions to meet fiscal targets.

Content Strategy: Guide the creation of marketing materials that resonate with diverse global audiences, capturing the unique school life experience.
Experience & Qualifications-
Required Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in private/public secondary school admissions, global marketing, or recruitment within an educational setting.

Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in developing new international markets and managing a network of recruitment agencies.

Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to create and implement long-term enrollment and diversity plans.

Marketing Expertise: Experience implementing targeted marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms, including social media and websites.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to sell the school's program to diverse stakeholders.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with School Information Systems (SIS), CRM tools, and content management platforms.

Travel: Ability and willingness to travel internationally for extended periods as required for recruitment.
Assets-
Multilingualism is highly valued.

Possess extensive knowledge of market trends, strong industry networks, excellent market insight, proven execution skills, and the ability to effectively manage budgets.
- Experience using graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) and website platforms (e.g., Wix, Squarespace)

Strong organizational and time management abilities with high attention to detail.
