With more than 40 years of experience in the suspended access and construction industry, SSI provides specialized equipment and access solutions for construction projects throughout the GTA and beyond.
With a strong and continuing workload, we are currently looking for a dependable, motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Welding Supervisor, you will work as part of our welding and fabrication team producing, assembling and repairing equipment and components used in the suspended access industry.
Experience is valued, but attitude and aptitude matter too.
While previous welding and fabrication experience is preferred, we are willing to teach, train and mentor the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, reliability and a genuine willingness to learn.
What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have some combination of:
- Welding and metal fabrication experience
- MIG welding experience
- Ability to work from drawings, measurements and instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- A safety-conscious approach to work
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Dependability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
Welding certification or related trade training is an asset, but practical ability and relevant experience will also be considered.
