Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Used Car Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth at our dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in automotive sales, and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies. This role requires a customer-focused approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a diverse sales pipeline. Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, are highly desirable to better serve our diverse clientele. As a Used Car Sales Manager, you will oversee daily operations, support sales staff, and ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained.
Duties
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and dealership sales targets through effective coaching and support.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the dealership’s market share in used vehicle sales.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting B2B clients to closing high-end sales with retail customers.
- Conduct negotiations with customers and business partners to maximize profit margins while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Oversee marketing initiatives aimed at increasing dealership visibility and attracting new customers.
- Support the sales team with upselling techniques and customer service best practices to enhance overall sales performance.
- Maintain organized records of all transactions, leads, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
- Foster strong relationships with clients by providing excellent communication, phone etiquette, and personalized service.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional campaigns targeting local markets.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive or retail sales management, preferably within a dealership environment.
- Strong background in outside sales, B2B sales, high-end sales, and retail customer service.
- Exceptional negotiation skills combined with excellent communication abilities in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing a sales pipeline and executing strategic marketing initiatives.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with sales support tools such as CRM systems and marketing platforms.
- Ability to lead a team through motivation, training, and performance management.
- Strong math skills for calculating deals, financing options, and profit margins.
